Publix and Nicki Minaj partner up for Gasparilla-themed Eat The Booty Like Groceries campaign





Publix Super Market – South Tampa – Tuesday, 1.22.2019

Tampa-area Publix Super Market stores are teaming up with Nicki Minaj, famous for her song “Chun-Li”, in an exciting Gasparilla-themed promotion called “Eat the Booty Like Groceries”.

From now until the end of Gasparilla, Publix will be playing a special playlist of classic Nikki Minaj hits like “Barbie Dreams”, and “Anaconda”. Shoppers will also have an opportunity to win some booty if they come in dressed like a pirate.

“Nothing brings me more joy than to greet customers with a smile” says manager of a South Tampa Publix, Ned Edwards. “Being able to greet them with some rocking tunes by Nicki Minaj makes it that much better.” Edwards stands with his hands on his side and smiles at me while Nicki Minaj’s “Good Form” plays loudly throughout the store.

During check out, cashiers will be asking customers if they “eat the booty like groceries?” Cashiers are instructed to not accept payments or break eye contact until the customers answers.

If the customer answers yes, a Publix manager will lead the customer to a special pirate themed waiting area where they will be shown a very explicit instructional video hosted by Nicki Minaj on how to “Eat the Booty like Groceries.”

After the video they will be given a form to sign saying they can’t sue for what they just saw. Customers who sign the form will be entered to win a trip to see Nicki Minaj perform at the Publix Headquarters in Lakeland, FL and a $25 Gift Card.

The promotion runs from now until the end of Gasparilla.
