CPAP machine helps Tampa man experience more vivid nightmares
Wes Grodley of Tampa was recently diagnosed with severe sleep apnea and prescribed a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machine.
“It’s done wonders for me!” he exclaimed. “Now I’m sleeping soundly all night long which carries with it an abundance of health benefits!”
“Plus, I have a much clearer vision of the horrifying things that race through my subconscious mind. The night terrors are so realistic!”
A CPAP machine takes in room air, then filters and pressurizes it before delivering it through a tube and into a mask. The continuous flow of air gently keeps the tongue, uvula and soft palate from shifting too far into the airway, stabilizing breathing and improving overall sleep quality.
“Before, I was very restless and rarely slept continuously through the night. I would have dreams and nightmares but often woke up in the middle, kind of confused by the disjointed stories and imagery,” he said. “Now I know exactly why demons are torturing me and what celebrities and former romantic partners I need to stalk and kill to make it stop.”
