717 Parking Pledges Free Services for Future Hurricane Victims

717 Parking Enterprises, the company that controls almost all of the privately owned parking lots in Tampa, has made a pledge going forward to the citizens of the Tampa Bay Area.

”These recent storms have taught us all some valuable lessons,” said a spokesperson too ashamed of their association with the company to give their name. “The lesson we’ve learned is that cleaning up parking lots afterward is expensive and we don’t like it. But it’s gotta get done so what are you gonna do?”

“Well, I’ll tell you what WE’RE gonna do; the next time we have a storm like these, anybody who clears enough storm debris from one of our parking spaces to be able to park their car in it can do so, for no charge, for up to an hour or until Target Towing or one of the other predatory towing companies we work with get there, whichever happens first,” they said. “That’s our promise to you, our neighbors, customers and victims.”

The gesture comes hot on the heels of the company’s last documented charitable outreach efforts a mere 10 years ago.
