Tampa Man Not That Mark Robinson

Mark Robinson of Tampa is aggressively asserting that he is not the controversial and socially conservative Republican nominee for governor of North Carolina by the same name who has been accused of making a series of provocative comments on a pornography website’s message board more than a decade ago.

”Come on, that’s obviously not me,” he said. “I’ve never said any of those things anywhere. I’m clearly not Black and I’m not a Nazi.”

”I don’t know why I thought it would be necessary to deny being Black before denying being a Nazi and I instantly regret making that unfortunate choice,” he added. “My point is that’s a different guy and we just happen to share a fairly common name, but that’s all.”

”Mark Robinson? Nice,” said a woman passing by. “Watched any good tranny porn lately, you perv?”

We informed the woman that the man we were speaking to was not the same one who allegedly posted numerous gratuitously lewd and sexual comments to a message board on a pornographic web site who has since cultivated a reputation for making inflammatory comments on numerous issues, including mocking school shooting survivors, his past support for total abortion bans without exceptions for rape and incest and disparaging the civil rights movement since beginning his political career in 2020.

”I know. I used to date this one,” she replied.
