Beloved Reunited Band to Play Tampa!

After several years apart, one of the world’s most critically acclaimed and popular rock bands has reunited for a global tour, including a date at the Whatever It’s Called Now Amphitheater in Tampa.

“I can’t believe it! I never thought they’d get back together. There’s just so much history of acrimony and dissension,” said self-proclaimed super fan Laura Smiff. “But they’re back! And they’re coming to Tampa!”

The rumors have been circulating on and off for years but the news is confirmed: Chet Kirkland and the Swamp Donkeys are back!

“I bought my pit ticket and I will be there, showing off my titties,” said George Jahnzen, another fan.

Kirkland, also known as The Sacred Gizzler, previously played an acoustic set for an intimate crowd in a surprise appearance at Cafe Hey in Tampa Heights.

“I was there and he was amazing,” said Marie Billiams, who has all of Kirkland’s albums. “There was one jerk that wouldn’t shut up, but otherwise it was an incredible show. I kicked that guy’s ass when it was over.”
