Longtime Fan Believes Buccaneers Have Also Given Up on Community

Longtime fan Mark Glerk, who experienced deep disappointment with the Tampa Bay Lightning losing 5-4 to the Ottawa Senators Saturday night in the wake of Hurricane Milton, left Raymond James Stadium Monday night even more disillusioned after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost 41-31 to the Baltimore Ravens.

“What the hell,” he said in disgust. “They were so good last week, beating New Orleans at a time when we, the consistently loyal fans who make up this community, really needed it.”

“You know, because of the storm,” he added unnecessarily.

“But that was on the road. This was a home game, the first since the storm and they were terrible when we really, REALLY needed it,” he said. “And on Monday Night Football, embarrassing us in front of the whole nation. I never thought they’d let us down so miserably. What the hell?”

“Now I don’t know what to do; I guess maybe I’ll go back to putting all my consistent loyalty behind the Lightning” he said.

Informed that the Lightning lost 5-2 to the Toronto Maple Leafs at the same time as the Bucs game, he said, “in that case, go Yankees, the baseball team to which I am consistently loyal whenever they get to the World Series.”
