Mob Responds to Car Alarm

A car alarm going off in Tampa Heights inspired a group of strangers at a nearby bar who don’t know each other to band together and respond.

“Listen! Do you hear that? It sounds like…like…my God in heaven above, it is! It’s a car alarm!!” said this one guy.

“Right outside this very bar, within earshot, a crime is being committed. A fellow motorist’s vehicle is in some sort of peril,” said some other guy. “It could be being vandalized, burglarized or even stolen outright. There’s no telling at this point!”

“Alright, this isn’t the time to panic but there’s not a moment to lose. We have to take action,” said a woman. “Grab a makeshift weapon; we don’t know what we’re going to face out there. Let’s go matter!”

The group, some 12 to 15 people strong representing a variety of genders, races and ages at that point, headed out, bonded and determined with purpose, and advanced toward the alarm noise.

They found the vehicle in distress but saw no one nearby or anything that could have created the disturbance.

“Oh wait, guys. That’s my car,” said this third guy. “I think I accidentally hit the button on the keychain thing. Oops. My bad. Sorry about that.”

The mob responded by beating that third guy to a pulp before disbanding and returning inside to resume drinking.
