Tampa High-Rise Resident Nowhere Near Sky, Doesn’t See Point

Stevie Jessik is a resident of SkyPoint Condominiums, a luxury high-rise in downtown Tampa, but he isn’t happy about it.

“Because it sucks,” he said. “Because I’m on the second floor!”

SkyPoint is 361 feet high and has 33 floors. It is the 9th tallest building in Tampa.

“And here I am, I’m on the second floor,” said Jessik with disgust. “If I wanted to be on the second floor, I could have rented an apartment at Coopers Pond or some other similar shithole.”

Jessik said he bought the modern loft-style unit after being shown the property by a leasing agent.

“Yeah, but I thought they were just showing me a model. I thought for sure that it would be higher up because why in the world would someone want to live at a place named ‘SkyPoint’ and be on the second floor?” said Jessik.

“I look out my window and I have a spectacular view of traffic and I can see people’s individual faces. Wonderful,” he said. “You know who lives above me? Everybody!”

Jessik said that considering all the circumstances, including how much money he paid, he is downright depressed about the situation.

“It makes me want to open a window and jump,” he said. “But what good is that gonna do?”
