First Lady Visits Tampa to Meet With TNF
First Lady Dr. Jill Biden flew into Tampa Monday in order to have a meeting with the executive board of Tampa News Force (TNF).
“My favorites! Great to see you! I assume you’ve been getting the holiday cards,” she said as her greeting upon arriving at the TNF corporate headquarters. “You know, not everybody gets those.”
We assured her we had and that we appreciated getting them.
She then got to the real purpose of her visit.
“Listen, I know this is asking a lot, but do you guys think you could take it easy on Joe, at least for a little while? He’s kind of having a tough time with the media right now. I’d consider it a favor,” she requested. “I mean, he’s my husband and he signs the cards too.”
We replied that we really don’t weigh in on the Presidential election that often, that our political focus is directed primarily toward local politics here in the Tampa Bay Area and the state of Florida.
She seemed surprised and said, “Are you sure you don’t want to take a couple shots at him? It’s pretty easy.”
We declined respectfully and told her that we have Governor Ron DeSantis for that.
She then produced her stethoscope, anointed us on our shoulders with it and said, “I now pronounce you doctors.”
She then left our office, got some coffee and went to talk to some people about the election or whatever.
