Military themed restaurant completely forgets Veterans Day

Buns & Guns Bar & Grill, a military themed pub in Port Richey somehow forgot that yesterday was Veterans Day, and as a result, neglected to offer a customary special to patrons who have served in the armed forces.

“My bad,” said manager Chad Forrestal. “I think it’s because it was a Saturday instead of a weekday and generally, the crowd was mostly college football fans. We’re the home base for a very enthusiastic group of Florida State fans.”

“It’s hard to not get excited and distracted in that environment,” he added. “I mean, it’s not war but they were playing Miami, so kind of.”

He said the restaurant will make it up by offering free fries or onion rings for $1.75 with the purchase of any entree on Monday for all service members, past and present (documentation required).
