Tampa Couple Makes Mashed Potatoes for Trunksgiving
Bob and Carol Tednalice of Tampa, inspired by how much fun they had this year with their first time participating in Trunk-or-Treat, the Halloween tradition where participants decorate their cars’ trunks with Halloween themes and pass out candy to children, are hoping to continue the fun with Trunksgiving.
“We had heard of Trunk-or-Treat but didn’t know what it was all about until this year. We didn’t have enough candy because we didn’t know how popular this new tradition of celebrating holidays out of the trunk of a car in America are”, said Bob. “We won’t make that mistake again!”
“That’s right,” agreed Carol. “We made 600 pounds of mashed potatoes, seasoned with 38 cups of salt plus eight gallons of milk and 72 sticks of butter.”
“More than enough for the several Trunksgiving gatherings we’re going to drive around and find,” said Bob as he kissed Carol on the forehead.
Unfortunately, at the end of the day they will have learned that there’s no such thing as Trunksgiving and they’re going to be stuck with 600 pounds of cold, lumpy spuds and a severely out-of-alignment 2021 Hyundai Elantra.
