Chronister Withdraws From DEA Post Consideration

Three days after being hand-selected by President-elect Donald Trump to head the Drug Enforcement Agency, Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister has withdrawn his name for consideration.

“There is more work to be done for the citizens of Hillsborough County and a lot of initiatives I am committed to fulfilling,” Chronister posted on TwiXter yesterday.

The statement has been interpreted by many as, “If I wanted to join a circus, I’d pick one with actual clowns.”
