Tampa woman credits economy with improving her physical conditioning

Economy

Madeline Sterner of Tampa said rampant inflation has helped her become healthier.

“I guess I’m a glass-half-full person,” she said. “Sure, it would be easier to sit around and complain but I choose to look at the bright side, and one of the positive aspects of the economy is that I’m in the best shape of my life!”

“For one thing, I’m eating less. Not by choice, of course. But it’s good to cut back on fat and calories and basic nourishment.”

“I’m also much, much stronger. Look at this; this is $100 worth of groceries,” she said referencing the one bag of items she had just purchased at Publix. “There’s no way I would have been able to lift that before. Now I can do it and it isn’t even difficult!”

“And with gas prices the way they are, i walk a lot more than i ever have. And that’s just a wonderful workout!”

“Look at me! I’m Wonder Woman!” she said laughing. “As in, ‘I wonder how I’m not going to end up living on the street’. Ha ha. That’s just a little joke. But not much of one.”
