Tampa man kind of concerned about gambling

Wes Anderson (not that one) of Tampa is beginning to think he may have a gambling problem, due almost entirely to messages he receives from the place where he gambles.

“I go to the Seminole Hard Rick Casin a couple times a year and usually bet up to $20 on the slots or a table game,” he said. “But I also see these warnings accompanying ads that make it look so darn fun, that say ‘If you think you have a gambling problem, call 1-888-ADMIT-IT’ and I think, ‘do I?’ I might! I go there a couple times every year. Isn’t that indicative of an addiction? Every year?”

While most experts probably wouldn’t think he has anything to worry about at this point, he’s still concerned.

“I already have enough going on. My wife left me, I’m behind in my child support, I’m off my blood pressure medicine, I can’t hold a job for more than a few weeks at a time, I’m drunk four nights a week and if somebody offered me crack, I’d definitely try it,” he said. “But I just don’t want my life to fall apart.”
