Dead Bodies Found in Abandoned Escape Room
Four as-yet-unidentified dead bodies were found in what used to be The Great Escap-apade escape room in Seminole Heights.
“I guess they just couldn’t figure out how to escape”, said Hillsborough County Medical Examiner Doug Graves.
The bodies were discovered by Bill “Boomer” Splintz who recently leased the space to open a new ax-throwing bar.
Carolyn Pleezle was one of the longtime employees of The Great Escap-apade when it opened in 2016 and closed later in 2016, said, “We were mad popular when we opened. Birthday parties, corporate retreats, you name it. We were booming. That lasted a couple months and then all of a sudden, people just stopped coming. And that includes the staff. We didn’t so much as close as we just stopped coming in to work. I guess some people were still in there at the end.”
“Oops,” she added
Mr. Graves said, “It appears they ate most of the props in the room before resorting to eating each other.”
“Not like that,” he added while stifling giggles.
