Stoned teenager disrupts group’s paint party

Paint Party

A group of friends in South Tampa had their annual holiday gathering at Painting With A Twist interrupted by a teenager under the influence of some illicit substance.

“He ruined it”, said Carol Kern, one of the group’s participants. “We look forward to this every year and this uninvited bozo just shows up and wrecks everything. It’s not right.”

The inebriated teen in question is Trevor Billiams, a junior at Plant High School, who stumbled upon the paint studio on south MacDill Avenue, thinking it was a kava bar. “Are you here to paint?”, asked the instructor to which Billiams replied, “Wha-a-a-a-t…?”

“Yeah at first I was all, ‘Wha-a-a-a-t…?’ and then I was like, ‘Wha-a-a-a-t…?’ but then I was all like, ‘Wha-a-a-a-t…?’”, said Billiams. “So, yeah.”

Against the strenuous-but-silent objections from her friends, group member Tanya Gilly said, “He can sit with us if he wants.”

Billiams took a seat and started to participate in the activity, the painting of a palm tree with Christmas decorations on a tropical beach. He would stop frequently to laugh at something he found amusing for some reason or stare at the ceiling.

“It was very distracting. I didn’t like it at all”, said Jill. “Who needs people like that?”

Not everyone in the group had a problem with Billiams participation. “If I’m being honest, he probably did the best painting. Composition, color, tone, line, shape, space, and texture. Trevvy Trev’s painting had it all.” The rest of the group glared at her and she said, “What? He told me that’s what his friends call him.”

Kern disagreed vehemently. “He clearly didn’t understand the assignment. It was supposed to be a holiday theme and his tree didn’t have a single ornament on it.”

Billiams replied, “Christmas ornaments? On a palm tree?”, a concept that made him laugh so hard he couldn’t speak for five whole minutes.
