Tampa News Force Live ticket price rises 50,000%

Accountant

For the first time since before the show launched back in May when it was decided to make the price $0, tickets for Tampa News Force Live, presented on the 4th Wednesday of every month at the Tampa Fringe Theatre, are now $5 each.

Economists find it difficult to justify such a drastic inflation of the ticket’s value, considering teachers, emergency responders and fast-food workers tend to see a yearly increase in wages of only around 3%.

“Are you kidding? It’s a lousy $5!” said Bonnie, Tampa News Force Staff Accountant. “Don’t look at the percentage; any increase from $0 is going to look exorbitant if that’s how you measure it.”

For the sake of comparison, $5 is…

  • Half a load of laundry.
  • A Cuban sandwich, a GOOD one.
  • How much gas you put in your car on Friday morning so you can get to work and collect your paycheck.

“Personally I’m thrilled. This is the first fiscally responsible things these idiots have done since I started working here,” said the Hillsborough Community College graduate, who has only worked for the organization since 2016.

“Maybe this means we can start getting paid soon,” she added, not holding her breath.

Tampa News Force Live! returns to the Tampa Fringe Theatre on Wednesday, July 26th at 8pm. Tickets, for only $5 each, are available here or at the door. Seating is limited.
